Why do people get sucked into muli-level marketing scams? Do they really think they’ll do what they say?
asked:
Pyramid schemes and multi-level marketing scams really cause these people to lose friends. When you are acting like you care about their health so much just so you can sell them your $40 bottle of snake juice!! Am I being intolerant? or just more picky of who I want as a friend?
The thing I dislike about these organizations is how the ones that are into it try to make own distinct “society” as such. They want to make you interested by showing how many others are involved and that it is so “wonderful” with this product they have in their lives. Quite often these people are also active in churches and then try to blend the teachings with selling of their product. This is most detestable to me not to mention distasteful!

People want to believe there’s a way to get rich quick and get something for nothing.
I believe it was P.T. Barnum who said that nobody ever went bankrupt underestimating the intelligence of the general public.
You are very right about people trying to con you into thinking that some sugar pills will make your sex life amazing. The thing that most people don’t do is read the small text, such as privacy policies, Terms and Conditions, and other things like those. Most people don’t read those things and therefore get sucked into the ” good deals ” they find on the internet. My advice, read everything & don’t click on ads.
it’s the only job where they don’t have to submit a resume. i hate “friends” who sells me MLM stuff.
You are being normal. MLM is just cheesy.
There is a risk / reward equation to every situation. A person must decide if the reward is worth the risk. In MLM the picture given at the outset is EXTREMELY rosey and there are those who buy in. A person isn’t trying to lose friends at the outset. Let me tell you hope fades fast, which isn’t a reason not to hope again.
