Career Advice - Multi Level Marketing?

Multi Level Marketing
Yo2Help asked:

Arbonne vs. Body Shop at Home - Which one?
Hello - Please help. No general information from consultants I won’t e-mail you separately. I know all the pros and cons from each company. Both have great things going for each company. I really can’t decide. I want to hear anyting specific about working for each company that may sway my decision.

Thank you!!

You do understand the multi-leveling marketing is a barely legal pyramid scheme? That means the only people who make money are the ones at the top. They make it by requiring you to buy inventory you can’t move once you’ve gone through your friends and relatives. The other way is by recruiting other suckers into the scheme. Once word gets around about what you are doing, good luck on that…!

The bottom line is this - there is no such thing as a free lunch, You pay one way or another.

My advice? Don’t pick either one.

While MLM can be a legitimate work at home op (and no, I don’t do it anymore…time constraints), you must work VERY hard to make money. Anyone that tells you that they make $100k a year working one hour a week is a liar.

If you do it, be prepared to work hard and learn to run a good downline. Whatever co you choose, make sure you have a good upline support system.

I did a lot of research on Arbonne and spoke to so many people that I actually backed out of doing it… I was so close too! But, I am glad I didn’t… All that recruiting and the small discount wasn’t enough for me. Plus, I didn’t like all the purchasing I had to do just to have samples and displays. Also, I wasn’t impressed by any of the literature or the business support.
