How is the JOb market in the Bay Area?

I am curious about the Job Market in the Bay Area? I am a Network Administrator and I am moving to Vallejo, Ca. I am curious to wether there are jobs in the Bay Area for this sort of line of work?

It’s pretty HOT for the IT industry. If you have about 2-3+ years in the industry, I don’t forsee you having a problem getting a job. But there are more contracting opportunities here than full-time. Contractings great, especially since you’re just moving here– you can check out different companies and at the same time, build up your credentials on your resume. Good luck!

Yes, the Bay Area is a high-tech economy, so there is demand for your line of work. It shouldn’t be too difficult finding a job. The jobs are not in Vallejo, though.

You’ll probably have to commute into the city (take the ferry) or Silicon Valley (about a one hour drive). If you can get a job in San Francisco, that would be awesome. It has a very ‘Manhattan-on-the-Pacific’ vibe to it. If you’re ambitious, that’s the place to go. Wages are also higher.
